Both a music producer and a poet, Robert Bates is one of the most intelligent musicians to have broken into the music industry in the last decade. New to the game, and only 18 years of age, Rob Bates recently started making beats from the luxury of his home located on the south side of Chicago, where he was born and raised. His beats have caught the attention of many throughout the Chicago-land area, including several recording labels. He currently attends one of the greatest universities in the nation, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Throughout his entire life he has faced many struggles, the most recent being his successful battle against Osteosarcoma (cancer) this past year. With a strong mind and an open heart, Rob Bates continues to live his life to the fullest without any regrets.

In 2005, Rob Bates started working with several local performers from Chicago. As he began to really step his game up, he then started to get up with artists such as Shayla G of the 1st & 15th Record Label, Peeda Pan of White Chalk Ent. and D.P. Da Phranchise of the Phli Record Label and an up & coming rapper by the name of J. Reid from Chicago's Illest All-Starz. Although it is not known as to whether or not he will continue to make music, Rob will continue to partake in writing lyrics as he collaborates with other up and coming artists. Rob still has hopes of a prosperous career as a major producer. All beats and musical productions are original creations that reflect Rob's preference and style of music. He is a versatile musician, as well as a young entrepreneur. Rob is still looking for other musicians or lyricists who might be interested and willing to work with him.
