Formed in 2001, the Company's early vision was to use the current advancements in sonar technology and 3D visualization to vastly improve the safety of navigation for surface vessels. The result was a realtime 3D Forward Looking Sonar with a significant range to make it a useful device for navigation and obstacle avoidance.

Today, FarSounder is one of the world leaders in the design, manufacture and marketing of 3D sonar systems for a variety of applications in the commercial, recreational, defense and homeland security markets, internationally as well as domestically. The Company is growing substantially due to increasing demand for realtime 3D sonar products across an increasing number of these markets.

Over the past several years the Company has expanded its focus to other applications and markets for the technology, in particular, security applications for shipboard protection as well as shore side and offshore infrastructures, and fisheries applications for sustainable fishing.

FarSounder's continued path of development has resulted in increasing the useful range and operational speed of its navigation product line, while at the same time diversifying the technology into other areas. The Company, with its patented technology, offers state of the art solutions across the board, where "seeing under the surface" is of paramount importance.
