The Buddha Bar is an exclusive and highly-regarded bar and restaurant in Paris, France, and is a Buddha-themed venue serving Asian cuisine. The Buddha Bar was first started by Raymond Visan, and later co-owned by his current partner Gerard Guez. The two-storey dining area is dominated by a large statue of Buddha. The Buddha Bar originally became popular because of the DJs choice of eclectic, avant-garde music.

Buddha Bar has also opened venues in Sharm El-Sheikh, Hurghada, Beirut, Dubai, Amman, New York City, Las Vegas, Stockholm, Lisbon and Cairo.

Compilation CDs are released under the Buddha Bar brand name; some of them have been compiled by David Visan, son of Raymond Visan, who opened the Bar in 1996. These are generally of lounge or "chill-out" music, reflecting that which played in the restaurant itself. The series was started by Claude Challe who produced the 1st two albums and continues today with different producers. DVDs have been released along side the series.

In July 2006 we hold the first german-polish youth-media seminar, organized in cooperation of Solar Net International and Palace of Youth in Katowice. Our group was part of the 7th International Meeting of Youth "Europe of Peace".
We met there a group of girls from Slovakia who participated in the event. They organized a slovakian-polish Dance Workshop. The girls are students of Renata Madaraszova school of arts from Senec near Bratislava.
We have spontaneously decided to make a videoclip of the dancing girls. They do a gypsy dance.
We did it with one cheap photo camera and edited it very quickly by synchronizing 4 or 5 tracks and then just choosing sequences we wanted to keep.
Next year they want to establish kind of applied internet media subject in their school so I hope we are going to see and hear more from them
