Family Health Alliance

FHA is a female led non-profit tax-exempt organization that focuses on maternal and infant mortality, low contraceptive use, and advancing women's reproductive health and rights, particularly in the Middle East and West Asia.

To address the issue of maternal and infant death in resource poor environments, FHA provides family planning and reproductive health training and education to local female and male health providers.
FHA's training programs are designed and implemented within a unique empowerment model in which its teams of trainers work closely with the trainees to help them to overcome cultural and social obstacles in providing reproductive health care in often challenging environments.

FHA collaborates with local governments, teaching institutions and local NGOs to build professional capacity among health providers. FHA believes that meaningful and sustainable improvements in health care are rooted in the training and empowering of providers and the local population.
