About Me:

I believe the real reason for the season is the apparently accidental tilt of the earth on an axis.
Hometown:
Foregone end of the carpet.
Country:
United States
Occupation:
Bugle-Boy (Boogie-Woogie, 2nd Class)
Companies:
B
Interests:
My interests include listing my favorite movies and shows and music and books and videos and things I like to do. My hobbies include displaying these lists to the world, as though I were somehow responsible for creating the things I like. I am proud of myself for recognizing that other people's work is impressive. I wish I were kidding, but here I am, on my youtube channel...
Movies:
My Dead Dad, starring John Ritter as Jack Rider. (And featuring Tim Conway, as the grouchy upstairs landlord who will rent the apartment to the Rider children, on one condition: that their dad is alive. Mr. Ropley has a hang-up about dead people, and doesn't even like their kids. So the Riders convince him (in the heart-warming words of conniving youngest daughter Bethany Rider)--Daddy jus have a dwinking pwobwem... and a stinking pwobwem. ...Long story short: Ropley doesn't have a clue, the Rider kids don't have a dad, and a team of sitcom writers don't have to remain fully conscious to generate the comic gold that keeps the canned laughter coming!
Music:
a strange duet: the musical saw and the piccolo that are always in my head. ...wait, damn it, that's not music. the piccolo put most of my sensory-motor complex out of commission, and the musical saw sliced through the auditory cortex, and i don't know WHAT the hell exactly makes me mistake foreign objects in my head for music. don't envy me.
Books:
The Complete Works of Anne Frank. Jack Chick's lunatic comic books, which, I am not kidding you, are still vaguely prophecizing the end of the world in 2000. Presumably after the anti-Christ invents a time-machine.. bought with profit reaped from our daily, regimented agricultural chores--we, the left-behind.

I can't be sure what you mean with "specifics," Falstaff, whether you're talking about philosophy or friendly chatter or both. In any case, it often is tough to be specific regarding anything, and, to this, I'm sure you can sympathize. But furthermore, you don't have to be sorry. I don't want you to be. Let us use the Web with all it's advantages. That is, to me, let us message each other right when the fancy strikes, which is when our minds together with the given circumstances are most harmonious, and one can "get the shit on the page." And as for reply, let's treat much in the same way. If nothing strikes us, or we are too busy to be struck, let us wait for better "striking" at a later time.

yeah, it's a great song...i think i was too young to really appreciate the original version when it first came out, but it grew on me. i've seen bowie 4 or 5 times, the last one in 2003, on that very tour...gail ann really blew everyone away with her 'freddie' part. plus, she's just too fucking cool for words...
as is annie (whom i've never seen, unbelievably !)
howzithangin'? quiet night here...my drummer boy's at an overnight gig an hour away with his older brother and jimi hendrix-lookalike guitarist in tow...this house now serves as the hub for a bona fide garage (well, basement) band, and i LOVE it ! xxx, j

ah, would that i could take credit ! it's my bastardized version of joni mitchell's 'a case of you' (well, the first part, anyway.) hope all's well out there in mutual o' o's wildkingdomland...

we worship it. we bow down before it. we place sumptuous fresh fruit and the very finest imported nagchampa known to man on its altar twice a day, every day - no exceptions. we would sacrifice our first-borns to it without hesitation if asked. we laugh like fucking hyenas at the very mention of it. and we openly acknowledge our hopeless addiction to and within its crushing death-grip. /oh: you wouldn't have liked me in high school. i was a cut-up, a card...i was class clown, a devil-may-care, throw-caution-to-the-wind-and-a-lampshade-on-yer-head-and-party-like-it's-1999 sort of a gal. i didn't give a fuck about academics - not openly, at least. that part of me was still closeted back then. and i was the same way in college. just aks my facefuck friends-'n-foes !
i suppose i'm making up for lost time now, to a certain degree.
