The Foundation for Apologetic Information & Research (FAIR) was formed in late 1997 by a group of LDS defenders of the faith who frequented the America Online Mormonism message boards. In defending the Church against detractors there, this small group realized that they had no way of sharing their information with each other, much less the rest of the Church. As a result of this, FAIR was born. Incorporated as a non-profit organization in the state of New York on December 19, 1997, the fledgling organization put up its first Web site in March 1998.

FAIR is staffed completely by students of the scriptures, ancient languages, early Christian history, early LDS history, and LDS doctrine and apologetics. Most all of the staff here at FAIR have been involved in online services and Internet-based LDS apologetics for many years. Many of our members are authors of currently-available apologetic publications.

FAIR conference talks

Every year, FAIR (Foundation for Apologetic Information and Research) hosts a conference in Utah in which LDS scholars speak on various subjects ranging from a Mesoamerican setting to the Book of Mormon to Joseph Smiths visions. The purpose is to counter anti-Mormon arguments, and show The Book of Mormon to be a true account of ancient inhabitants of the Americas.

The Book of Mormon is to the Bible what the thesaurus is to the dictionary. The dictionary is the dictionary and the thesaurus is a companion to the dictionary, but does not replace it.

	LDSML (2 months ago) Just a small wish... could someone please put the different speaches in the playlists in the right order... would be easier to listen to and no need to always jump down from my ergometer to find no2 after no 1 .... yeah totally selfish here, but when I bike I dont like to stop so I often listen to the speaches from te last to the first... not always the best way of presenting something to start from the end. Thanks to FAIR... great work! I enjoy this site so much!
