About Uniting ppl across the nations
It's funny how someone so tiny could have such an enormous impact on literally millions of ppl across the nations...w/o ever meeting any of them.

I wasn't feeling well all wk and then thursday night (Feb. 25th) I had a sudden pain just below/behind my left ear and thought it was just from the stress of the exam I had the next morning...well I woke up around 4 am with the same pain and went back to sleep. Around 5 the pain seared across my forehead and I immediately woke up in tears, I thought I could ride it out but then Rey started snorring and that just made things worse so I woke him up; told him he was snoring and he just nodded and closed his eyes but I guess he saw me crying and asked me what was wrong so I told him. Then around 5:30 I couldn't take it anymore so he called our friend Tony to give us a ride to the hospital...When we got to the ER they said they couldn't do anything for me cuz I was pregnant and they were afraid a CAT Scan would hurt her so they released me and told me to follow up with my Ob...well she wasn't working so I saw another doctor, Dr.Shoemaker, who said it was just a migraine and that it was prefectly normal due to the pregnancy so he was going to send me home but then when he came back into the room he said that he was going to admit me into the hospital cuz he found out about my complaints of flu-like symptoms. So I went in, they did the Scan and then OMG! I went into labor that night around 10:30. So they did a sonogram...n u no that something's wrong when the nurse gets quiet and starts shaking her head. Then she asked everyone (including my husband, Rey) to leave the room. When she came back the doctor took over and thing's just went down hill from there...turns out she was underdeveloped and the placenta was diseased, so they let my mom and Rey back into the room and told us everything and then dropped the biggest bomb ever! Either we could leave her in, were she would most likely die cuz there was nothing else they could do for her, OR...we could have an emergancy c-section and if she survived it (they said that there was a VERY SLIM chance she would survive the surgery) they could get her on life support and run some test on her and see where they could go from there.
So on Feb. 27th at 12:17 pm our beautiful baby girl, Isabella Alicia Franco was born at 27 wks, 2 pounds 11 ounces; 13 inches long. The poor thing was so premature she couldn't even cry but she apparently was kicking and punching in all directions.
They just recently confirmed that she has CMV and two types of herpes. Unfortuantly, the CMV took a great toll on her tiny body, when she was born she with almost none of her 1st level of skin, had lesions all over her body, she had juandice, and fluid buildup in her brain, heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys. Calcifications were found in both her brain and her heart, but foruantly the ones in her heart aren't blocking anything. Her poor body has battled so many things so far and I hate to say this but she has a PDA that they're trying to treat with Ibuprofen...if that doesn't work they'll have to go in and do open heart surgery to close it up.
Bella's come a long way so far, from surviving the c-section, to getting off the bili lights, transferring from the oscilator to the ventilator, having her 1st bowel movement, to breathing over the ventilator. Sure they're still giving her platelets, and blood but she is definately a fighter and I praise God every day for every miracle He works through her. It's amazing how many ppl love her and how many ppl across the US and Mexico are praying for her, I mean almost literally a million ppl are praying for all three of us to pull through this. Everyone down here both ppl we know and absolute complete strangers have been a tremendous help throughout the entire pregnancy and even now. Thanks to them we have a ride to the hospital to see our little Bella whenever we want, our church is providing dinner for us every other night and they're praying for us, we have so many ppl who have donated furniture and appliances for our apartment, even baby stuff for Bella.
I can honestly say that I have never felt so much love before, nor have I been so blessed, and I have never seen so many ppl fall in love with someone as much as they love Isabella, despite the fact that they have never once met her.
