I'm 40 years old, living in Auckland New Zealand and an avid fan of Freediving.

I've had a fascination with water, breath hold and freediving for years but have never really been physically located where I could participate....plus water used to scare the crap out of me.

I've now been Freediving for about 6 months(?) and a member of the Auckland Freediving Club. I've been working steadily towards the DNF 100metre mark and hope to break this at an upcoming competition in Auckland iin October.

I've looked upon freediving as once of those things that other people with limitless talent can only do and the mysiticism encased around it put me off for the longest time. Now that I'm into it, it's such a great experience. I recommend this sport to anyone whether it's simply for recreation, spear fishing or competition.
