First they discuss the powerful knockouts by Anderson Silva, Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, and then then dissect some of the beautiful jiu-jitsu moments that took place in the prelim match between Paulo Thiago and David Mitchell. The brothers also reveal the winner of the Gracie Bullyproof DVD collection, and then they go on to announce the next Gracie giveaway, and it's a good one! On Thursday, March 1, 2012 we released the first Submission Series t-shirt which is 100% dedicated to the "Straight Armlock" or "Chave de Braco." Ironically, the day after the Sub Series 1/10 t-shirt is released, there were two beautiful arm bars in the UFC by TJ Waldburger and Daniel Pineda, and then March 3rd comes along and not only does the Ronda Rousey win by arm bar, but she does it in DEVASTATING fashion -- dislocating Miesha Tate's arm in the first round! Ryron and Rener break down the beautiful throw, mount transition setup and finish that Ronda used to seal the deal. Check it out and be sure to share it with the jiu-jitsu haters - if this doesn't convert them, nothing will!

On October 23, 1951, Helio Gracie faced Masahiko Kimura who outweighed him by nearly 80 lbs. It was the first time that a jiu-jitsu world championship match would be held outside of Japan. Kimura was so confident of victory that he declared that if Helio could last for more than 3 minutes, he should be declared the winner. After 13 minutes, Kimura caught Helio in the shoulder lock that, today, bears Kimura's name. Helio wouldn't tap, so Carlos Gracie threw in the towel forfeiting the match to the Japanese giant. His loss to Kimura was consider one of the greatest victories of Helio Gracie's career.
