About Me:
At 12 joined the Doris Day fan club. Met my future American husband when I was 16. Married at 18. Now married 52 years. Above picture taken on our 50th anniversary. Had one child, a son, Scott who very sadly was killed when he was 41 years old. I think of him every day and miss him every day. Thankfully, he did provide us with 5 wonderful grandchildren, and we now have three great grandchildren.
I was an Air Force wife for the first 20 years of my marriage which enabled me to travel quite a bit. My favorite time was the 4 years we spent in Germany. We were able to travel all over Europe. We were stationed in Plattsburgh, NY., Stephenville, Newfoundland; Goldsboro, NC., Omaha, Nebraska; Ramstein, Germany; and lastly at Mather Air Force Base in Sacramento, CA. We moved to Monterey in 1980 and have been here ever since.

Retired nurse. For the past almost seven years I have been a overnight companion [helper with the "babies"] to Doris Day. I should make it clear....I do not "nurse" Doris. Doris does not need a nurse. I'm happy to report that she's in fantastic health.

Rosemount High School. Wayne Community College, [Goldsboro,N.C.]. Hartnell, California School of Nursing.
Interests:
Music, music and more music...especially Doris Day's music. I also like the "Adult Standards" , Classic Country...[the OLD stuff], light Jazz, [ie Ella, Billie, Dinah Washington, Nancy LaMott] and Classical. My husband and I have been attending annual music festivals since we were first smitten in 1974.
When I have time...I knit, sew, and/or paint.
Movies:
Romantic comedies. British TV comedies.
Music:
I suppose if I had to choose one gendre of music over all others, it would have to be "Southern Gospel". . I love the music that Bill Gaither is putting out, especially the four part harmony groups like The Gaither Vocal Band and Signature Sound. Other than that...Most all pre 70's music. I do not like rap! I consider "RapMusic" to be an oximoran!!

My favorite authors are Nicholas Sparks, Nora Roberts, and Maive Binchy
