About this user
Named after the legendary sword of King Arthur, Excalibur Screwbolts is a small owner-managed business based in Essex, UK, serving the global engineering industry in projects across tunnelling, railways, scaffolding and form work.
Our multi-application range of bolts can be secured to the hardest materials including concrete, brick, timber and plate steel replacing all the traditional masonry fasteners.
We are proud to see our bolts being used in landmark engineering projects such as the London 2012 Olympics, the High Speed 1 Channel Tunnel Rail link and the Gotthard Tunnel. Our products also excel in a range of every day applications from railways to sports stadia (for an A-Z of applications click here). Impressively, our twin helix thread innovation provides strength throughout the entire length of the bolt which means a single 20mm Excalibur bolt can support a weight of 13.5 tonnes.
One example is our triple helix thread bolt, a major new innovation that has been designed to address the most difficult fixing challenges. We are also looking at the feasibility of resizing the design for new applications in science and technology.
Our distribution partnerships throughout Europe, the Middle East, South Africa and Australia ensure Excaliburs products are available to customers throughout the world. The companys British heritage remains important and we have recently returned our manufacturing base to the UKs West Midlands, benefiting from a local skilled workforce and British expertise. This means we can continue to guarantee Excaliburs assurances on performance and quality.
Excalibur was awarded The Queens Award For Innovation: Enterprise in 2009 and we are constantly developing fixing solutions to meet new demand and challenges in the marketplace.
