Not bad at all! The fastest I've ever manged is 15 seconds on an Acer 1820ptz and a HP 5330m. Both with SSD drives and both after tweaking services.

@ForGamersByGamersLLC: If yuo stop a few services you can get Windows from off to desktop in 15 seconds and depending on the cpu it's ready to go.

@lakeb0dom: Windows 7 can boot in around 15 seconds after tweaks so 8 seconds is fantastic

@fahadnaif Have you actually used this 'stupid metro style' operating system? Have you used it at length to see if it'll make things easier or would you prefer to simply post rubbish?

An Atom based tablet is smooth as butter (with a little tweaking) so there' something not quite right here as the i5 should blast through anything. There seems to be a serious lack of knowledge out there for some reason.

@pianomandaniel The ENvy 14 has the extra slice battery option which improves battery life and the 14 also had the Radiance screen (Not anymore) which was absolutely amazing.

"iPad clone" I do hope that people realise that tablets were around before the ipad. Example: HP TC1100

@LopanLive How many have you used? I've used the Acer 1820ptz, HP TC1100, HP 2740p, Archos 9, Asus Ep121 and a few more. Frankly, you have no idea what you're talking about. Visit the Tablet PC Review forum for MILLIONS of people that use WIn7 on tablets.
