I served 12 months in Bahrein i1 1969/70.

I was in the RAF based at HMS Jufair.

Looking back now, it was a real holiday with sea sun and sand.

The shunters were in charge of the propelling movement, walking in front of the move in constant touch with the driver and placing themselves in a place of safety.

The train was going at about 5 mph, so it coulld stop in case of an emergency.

Who ever prepared this train has missed a hanbrake and left it applied.

Also ths handbrake should have been found when the train was rolled by the shunter.

During the journey the driver will have rear view mirrors to check the train.
