About this user
I have loved music all my life. But I am fairly new to actually "playing music", or lets say "practicing music".
It all started when my good musician friends from the PLASTIC ACID PROJECT in Vancouver gave me a Djembe as a present for my 50th birthday. And then I got serious about music roughly about December 2008 and I have practiced a couple of hours every day since. Playing music has been very rewarding to me and I have vowed I'll never stop as long as thats under my control.
Being an old fart now learning is SLOW, but progress has been steady and rewarding and one of the benefits on getting older is increased patience and that helps a LOT. I have experienced a dramatic improvement in my general hearing abilities since I started practicing music, its like having "new" ears ;-),
As they say, it takes 10,000 hours to master a skill and I am still far from that. I mainly practice with my hardpans, the Hang and Halo. A lot of guitar practice recently too and I have added a few other music instruments to my instruments set and I'll present them at some time here too.
Having played mostly just on my own, I am now on a search for a musical community which will help me to get to the next level of musicianship. I am also trying to find a professional music training program I can join to fill all the gaping holes in my musicianship which have revealed themselves to me one after the other.
Enjoy my channel, praise, criticize, rip me apart, make suggestions, but please be respectful.
