天人感應之觀念於西漢董仲舒才正式提出，但此觀念早已深植民心，認為天道的模式即為人道運作之規則，天與人之間有著看似虛無，又實際存有的交互關係。中國人認為自己擁有黃皮膚、生於黃土地、受黃河的灌溉與孕育。「黃河之水天上來」或許可以給我們一點「天人感應」的啟示。就連中國之官制、國都之建築.....等，皆仿效天象模式，而成為一等級有序、秩序井然之王朝（註二）。《史記、天官書》云「官者、星官也。星座有尊卑，若人之官曹列位」，即古代官制參考星象之分佈排列而設置。同時以北極星（紫微星)為中心，如同一國之都為該國運作中心，前清紫禁城即取「紫微」為中心之意。於此則不難看出中國文化受「天人感應」學說之影響。
