There are secular homeless shelters, fundraisers, blood drives, etc. If you don't see any, you're not looking very hard.

Why not commit convicted murderers and such to research? Like, the ones that are truly insane? It wouldn't have to be cruel or unusual, but it could help advance neuroscience and possibly cure or prevent things like that. Of course, I could be wrong, and please correct me if I am.

@roedogape Not believing is a belief in the same way that non-stamp collecting is a hobby. Basically, it isn't. Now, declaring or promoting a negative is a belief. Even believing a negative is a belief without promoting it. But simply not believing is not a belief.

@ChuckNorrisKratosLOL No, he was an atheist, though he rejected the term. He didn't believe in a deity due to a lack of evidence. That quote of his is him saying that we are a part of the universe, made from the stuff of the centers of stars. Basically, he was saying that the cosmos is our home.

@imbiases SOME DEFINITIONS being the key words there. An agnostic atheist (someone who does not believe due to lack of evidence, but doesn't believe in the absence of a god) is what Carl Sagan was. However, even he fell prey to the public misunderstanding of the word.
