Gould is better in his old age- tamer. Still, I don't like the antics at the keyboard. Musicians are to play the music, not bugger it up for effect with calculated eccentricities. It's strange to hear the humility of Bach interpreted by ego maniacs

I love this piece, but hate Gould...Personally, I don't get what all the fuss is about him. Obviously a performer is important for producing the music, but I am not usually floored by them- it's the MUSIC which is sublime.
