Pope Benedict XVI on Africa's fight against HIV: "You can't resolve it with the distribution of condoms. On the contrary, it increases the problem."........he has now changed his mind?????

George Bush says he speaks to god every day, and christians love him for it. If George Bush said he spoke to god through his hair dryer, they would think he was mad. I fail to see how the addition of a hair dryer makes it any more absurd.

"Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man -- living in the sky -- who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do.. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time! ..But He loves you"......george carlin.

A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death..........albert einstein

I do not believe the bible can ever be right at times, unlike a broken clock. It is a work based on myths and distorted history and the world would be a far better place without it.

Marie Von Ebner-Eschenbach quoted that. A very good metaphor.

How can the Bible be infallible if it is written by fallible humans? And if it is not infallible, how can we accept it as literal truth?

I find politicians who say they talk to God or justify their actions as God`s will very frightening. Religion has accounted for more wars, massacres and atrocities throughout history than any other single cause. It has been used to justify the persecution and annihilation of so many societies and races and with the rise of Fundamental Christianity and Islamic Extremism now poses a new more dangerous threat.

Now it is to know about this barbaric Hindu religion.Hindu Aghoris aim to overcome some of the more gruesome targets of revulsion. I've met Aghoris who would just as soon pluck an eyeball from a rotten human corpse and pop it into their mouths as eat chicken. He or she might carry a rotting dead dog over their shoulder for a week, or have sex with a dead cow or with a rotting human corpse. One Aghori ate part of the rotting penis of a bloated, vivisected corpse on the banks of the Ganges, engaging in this "sacred ritual" in full view of police and Hindu devotees I've got pictures
