I heard the rules were changed to prevent people grabbing at the legs at the start of a match. Of course a better course of action in my opinion would be to promote the knowledge of how to counter leg grabs.

Christina's Tai Otoshi would be more comfortable for both Tori and Uke if her attacking foot was right next to Uke's blocked foot. Mmm now that's the mark of a fine Tai Otoshi!
