I consider myself a libertarian, but I will never accept libertarian dogma over careful analysis of an issue. The same goes for any other philosophy or system of thought. My lack of belief in supernatural explanations for difficult questions applies equally to other systems of thought that purport to have all the answers; e.g., communism, socialism, capitalism, libertarianism, and all other "isms."

I'm 50 but so far have avoided that 'old man smell.'

Hi. I appreciated the sentiment of your comment on the Pakman video, also appreciated the statement on your profile- I feel similarly to your political views, although I'm really more of a soft libertarian. However, to the point! The Rules of Attraction: I personally disliked the film, as it felt fairly superficial, with the composition of the movie really adding a sense of depth, that the narrative managed to avoid entirely. That's what's most disagreeable about it. The book on the other hand is a gaze into the void of nihilism- being fairly young, I can still appreciate that somewhat trite theme. You may find it a little worn out! But yet, Bret Easton Ellis is a great contemporary novelist, I would recommend his books. Not really bonfire of the vanities; more bonfire of the vain.

Agh, I can't deal with such psychosis much longer either. It's becoming depressing. Thanks for the morale boost though :p

It's been a while lol. I agree. I have been better. Having a lot more problems with depression as of right now. My anxiety fuels the depression. I may have a panic feeling every other day and worry like 3 times a day but the rest of the time I am having depression about how the anxiety is. So in short: I've been better.

Hi,
Thanks for your comment - I feel flattered your so honoured! But I know what you mean, it does seem like horror (for most of the people my age) is just blood and gore. Thats why I use youtube to find people that appreciate that stuff.
I love Phibes it's just completely unlike any other film (apart from Dr.Phibes 2 of course!)
What other classic horrors do you like?
And don't worry I liked your use of the word dude :)
Thanks again,
Stella

Why would want his advice on the concept of suicide? Do you really think he gives a damn about anyone? Ask someone who actually has value for human life.
