About this user

Ester was born and grew up in Copenhagen. In 1999 she came to Berlin. Since 2001 Ester is travelling as a dancer and teacher throughout of Europe.
In her dancing collaboration with Chiche she brought in experiences from various teachers in Europe and Argentina. In the last years she delved intensively into the role of the woman in the Villa Urquiza style.
She has a profound musical education which she transmits in her artistic and pedagogical work. Her work is also influenced by certain body techniques like Alexander Technique, Pilates and Gyrotonic-Training. Since 1993 Ester practices Alexander Technique as a student of Mary McGovern, who was educated by Walter and Dilys Carrington.

Chiche is a student of "El Turco" José Brahemcha. Characteristic of Chiche's style is the finesse and elegance of the Villa Urquiza which he is developing further and fusing with other adequate styles.
In 1998, Chiche moved from Buenos Aires to Germany. Now lives and works as a dancer, choreographer and teacher of the Tango Argentino. In Berlin, no less than in Buenos Aires, Chiche finds the cosmopolitan diversity and artistic inspiration that he needs to develop and challenge himself continuously as a dancer.

Ester & Chiche have been dancing together since 2001. With their point of departure in Berlin they work as dancers and teachers all over Europe, giving workshops, classes and performing. Here they pursue their project Urquiza, Tango Arhentino which challenges them to contact other cultures, different environments and art-forms and thus carries them beyond the world of tango.
