Growing up in the late 70's and 80's in the south east of England exposed me to a lot of jazz funk and, what is now called rare groove. As a result this kind of music is my first love! More recently I have (belatedly) discovered a love for rare/northern soul and this is largely due to a great friend Mel (well, not sure about how great as he calls me a funky lolloper lol) and all the wonderful 'soulies' I have met on YouTube and shared music with.I also love latin jazz and reggae - specially lovers rock.My favourite all time song is Walking In Rhythm by the Blackbyrds, my favourite singer? too many good ones to choose from but Teddy Pendergrass is very high on my list - had the pleasure of meeting him once and I will always cherish that moment :O)My playlists will no doubt show you more than I can tell you about what I like, so feel free to listen, subscribe etc!Debz
