If Brian wouldn't had been in the front (not seeing what the others did), he'd problably be lying on the floor laughing with tears. Don't really want to know what Stevie said to Brian at 1:51. Probably something about the "very excited" audience. But Brian had a hard time concentrating on the son...

***Grmpf*** - did he write the lyrics himself??? If so, The Six Teens lyrics were obviously lying right in front of him. Nice try, John! But you can't beat the original.

@LeilaSweden: sorry, but this song does not origin from the 70ies. It's a cover version by Sweet (a great one though - I love it!!!). It has to be credited to Joey Dee & The Starliters and goes all the way back to 1961. It had been part of Sweets repertoire for ages before it saw the light of day...

That's why Brian refused to do the Fernsehgarten - all fake! All playback. Unfortunately Brians refusal ruined his chances of a second career without the old line-up. He was told if he didn't do the chinnichap stuff playback he would not be allowed his own penned songs either. But he was too prid...

This is the first time I listen to a Lynyrd Skynyrd Song - and that only because I just read that Elliot Tuffin sang this song for his friend Mick Tucker when he sadly passed away. I have to admit it is so nice and touching that I have tears in my eyes. Wonderful song first slow than very rocking...

Tks for uploading this. Was looking for Sweets Tom Tom for quite a while. It's much better than version of New World.
@walter4092 Who knows... Steve didn't go into it further. It leaves room for speculation though. There were a lot of people around at that time who didn't like Sweet and envied them their success. And as much Brian was liked by his fans as much there have been others who disliked him.
