Personally I'd like more gear reviews instead of less. It would be nice if there were a forum of some type where we could make suggestions or ask questions about particular gear or types of gear in a public way. I know you can't review every item on earth but maybe it's something to think about.

I use bank line all the time and have patched up cheap camp chairs that have broken under my 220lb frame. The bank line was stronger than the original chair so I must agree wholeheartedly. Why do you chose to use tarred line as opposed to un-coated?

Usually if I do any kind of serious packing my fat thighs rub together and chaff like crazy. I've discovered that my son's diaper rash cream works like a miracle once that starts. Thanks for letting us know that tallow works too.

That's another reason to have a partner in a survival situation... if you're unable to bring yourself to pass urine into your water bottle at night... you can always use theirs.

Common cinder block is typically not great to use. I've never had one explode like some rocks can but it will heat up and crack. If it's designed to go around a chimney flue though I'd imagine it's designed to withstand the heat.

I'd like to see rabbit breeding as they are live trappable in the wild and breed like... well rabbits. Plus they have decent insulating pelts for clothing and their feet are lucky. A little bit of luck can go a long way in the woods.

@boboelmo I went ant bought some supplies today at Scheel's across the street from where I work and I calculated the cost at $.37 a round for primer, powder and bullet. (I already have a bunch of leftover brass casings from before so I didn't include that in the price.)

I got a set of calipers just like that at Harbor Freight for $15 if you have one close.

The biggest advantage the M16 has is the .223 round itself because it's 1/2 the weight and just as deadly against zombies or zombie like objects. If I’m humping pack around the wilderness after the apocalypse comes, pound for pound 1000 .223 rounds would make me feel a lot better than 500 7.62’s...
