About Eric's Hodgepodge Of Visuals
I was born in 1980, but have a memory stretching back at least to when I was about 3. Still, I love playing catch-up with old clips from my childhood, be they from TV shows I remember watching, but only in later years (in reruns), vintage commercials, or music videos of songs of & before my time that I have grown to love in retrospect. Very little rhyme or reason, since a lot of stuff takes my fancy.
I am currently on a kick for old game show clips, especially bloopers that may or may not have made it to air. Whether it be a wacky question from MATCH GAME or a jubilant celebration of a win on PYRAMID, bring them on!
PASSWORD PLUS is probably my biggest addiction right now, especially when Allen Ludden managed to get in a couple years' hosting before his fatal cancer forced him into retirement. If ever there was a model for today's game show hosts (though, admittedly, there are not many shows up to snuff as the classics), it was Mr. Betty White himself. :) Tom Kennedy did a great job taking over for his friend.

Favorite celebrity guests: Betty White, Billy Crystal, Nipsey Russell, Joanna Gleason, Vicki Lawrence (PASSWORD & PYRAMID seem to bring out the best in all of them)
Favorite show creators: Mark Goodson/Bill Todman (even after Todman's death, they were inextricably linked)
Favorite announcers: Johnny Olson, Gene Wood
