Eric Shelman is an author and Real Estate Broker living in southwest Florida in the Fort Myers/Cape Coral area of the state. He is married to his wife Linda since 1986, and they have two Whippet brothers, Beau and Brody. Eric has been singing since he was a punk and he also likes to paint, write and read. Linda does many of those same things, but without the writing, singing, and painting. Eric is the author of five books; The first, published in 1999, is called "Out of the Darkness: The Story of Mary Ellen Wilson." The second one, published in 2005, is entitled "The Mary Ellen Wilson Child Abuse Case and the Beginning of Children's Rights in 19th Century America." If you've ever wanted to know how child protection in America began, Mary Ellen's story will go a long way toward explaining it to you. His other three books are novels - the first, which was released in 2011 after a long writing hiatus, was Dead Hunger, a bit of zombie fare. Dead Hunger is the first of a series of books following the main characters, Flex Sheridan, Gem Cardoza, Hemp Chatsworth, Charlie Sanders, and little six-year-old Trina, Flex's cousin. Next we have A Reason To Kill, a serial killer novel that follows main character Frank Swanson, a killer who struggles with his attraction to a woman he encounters versus his desire to keep on killing. Last for 2011 is a novel called Generation Evil, about five witches, four of whom are benevolent, and continually reincarnate until they discover the identity of the fifth witch and destroy him.
