About this user
Richee Mathwin was born on the 26th of March 1982 in the North Eastern English town of Hartlepool. At an early age Richee began developing an interest in the arts and other creative subjects. In his early teenage years he began to focus more on specific areas of the arts, particularly music and film. After studying an Advanced GNVQ in Media Production and developing an interest in directing, Richee continued to develop his skills, playing professionally with well known musicians around the country and directing his own short films as well as other peoples projects in his spare time. In 2003 Richee decided to study for a HND in Multimedia Technology which he completed and then a BSC in Multimedia Technology at Leeds Metropolitan University. In this time many of his films were shown at prestigious film festivals around the country.
After completing the BSC (and a short stint at ITV Yorkshire) Richee completed an MA in film and moving image production at The Northern Film School in Leeds as an Editor and Director. On leaving the course he began working as a freelance film maker in the North of England working on many projects ranging from corporate videos to larger projects for clients such as Screen Yorkshire. He has recently started the video production company Big Media Film.
