Envision Laie is a process by which Laie and Koolau Loa residents, Brigham Young University Hawaii, the Polynesian Cultural Center, Hawaii Reserves Inc. and national regional planning experts hired by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are working together to study Lāie and help plan its future possibilities to become sustainable and preserve and protect this place and the values of the people who live here. This envisioning process is similar to what other cities and towns have done to ensure the future they are creating protects their quality of life. Visioning provides a view of the options before Laie and is structured to help everyone understand the long-term consequences of the choices that will be made today.
