Saw this in theater with my adolescent daughter. We laughed til we snorted. To this day, it's on the top of our list of faves. I still have the VHS version, bought many years after the initial viewing.

Just saw the film at SBIFF. Wonderful documentary. Beautifully conceived, shot, edited, and what a story. All the human elements, drama, humor --- and very poignant. Two thumbs up to the filmmakers and Tom Merkel for their vision and eccentricity.

Hooray for Al Pacino, a truly great actor. Golden Globe for best actor in this film. He deserved it. He really interpreted the character of Jack pefectly and in a way that revealed Jack's inner workings.
