.In retrospect, the earliest appreciation I can recall for pattern and texture
derived from my mother's custom designs as a seamstress. As a child, I'd witness
my mother visit fabric stores in search for the unflawed. Her keenness and
fashioned innovations impressed me. My father unknowingly was responsible for
my need to discover and invent. As a General Contractor he was expected to craft
notable work, and that he did. I'd bear in mind how he would conjoin customary
designs with unassuming influences, like color. Youthful impressions equipped
and stirred a need in me to create, however I didn't. For then, my blessing laid
dormant. Years passed, I'm an adult - living a productive life, with a good 9 to
5. Privately, I'd take elevated pleasures in painting bold and unforeseen colors
unto walls. I later married an elicit spirit in 2001...Keisha. She's as unrivaled
as they come. Her energy and innate ability to create is inciting. So much so,
that while in the thrust of one of her artistic indulgences, I became spectrally
inspired to paint, but this time on canvas. That day came "Movement", 48 x 60
acrylic on canvas, my very first piece, my private stroke of conception.An as a
result, 2005 is the inauguration of my artistry. That's the year, I undoubtedly
notarized my Godsend
