Das Steißbein, der letzte Knochen am Ende der Wirbelsäule, ist der Teil des Menschen, der niemals verloren geht. Es verwest nicht einmal vollständig in der Erde.

Abu Hureira sagte, dass der Prophet (a.s.s.) meinte:

"Alles von den Söhnen Adams wird in der Erde verwesen, außer dem Steißbein. Durch dieses wurde der Mensch geschaffen und durch dieses wird er am Jüngsten Tag wieder auferstehen."

Überliefert durch Al-Bukhari, Al Nassaii, Abu Daoud, Ibn Majah, und Ahmad in seinem Buch Al Mousnad und Malek in seinem Buch Al Mouattaa.

Abu Hureira sagte, dass der Prophet (a.s.s.) meinte:

"Es gibt einen Knochen bei den Menschen, welcher in der Erde niemals verwesen wird. Durch diesen Knochen wird der Mensch am Tag der Abrechnung neu entstehen." Sie fragten den Propheten: "Welcher Knochen ist das?" Er antwortete: "Das ist das Steißbein!"
