Leo Kottke Four Four North cover

My stab at an overlooked gem

    engineerartist engineerartist commented:

Great job covering this compelling (but somewhat obscure) Kottke tune! Impressive tone and technique. It's especially nice considering it's your first posting! I look forward to more of your postings in the future.

    engineerartist engineerartist commented:

Great original tune. You coax a real sweet tone out of that Collings. I noticed you're using the thumbpick this time.... Nice crisp and clean bass notes. And the tune has a nice structure. It's real easy to fall into the classic (and ubiquitous) I-IV-V structure when writing music, but you've man...

Sounds Great! Looks like it was fun to play. The syncopation and the "thumpy" bass notes definitely give it the Kottke "feel". I think I heard a touch of "Airproofing" buried in there somewhere. engineerartist engineerartist commented:

@fngrstyl I did notice. I'm amazed that you can play as well with or without the pick. I believe playing without the pick allows for more tonal variation and more accuracy (not to mention the nice "thump" you get when stopping the string with your thumb)! I've tried more than once to ditch the p...
