After some prodding by my wife we attended the Richard Marx concert last week. All the way there I was prepared to be unimpressed, boy was I WRONG! This guy is a true musical talent plus, a genuinely nice guy who puts on a heck of a show. Made a believer out of me!

It's winter 1967 and this 9 year old is sittin around the tv with the rest of the family watching some variety show [not sure which one] when out comes Paul Revere and the Raiders in all their colonial glory, pony tail and all. After a brief silence Mom utters "Oh my God" while dad never said ...

Every time I hear this I'm back at college in our less that elaborate basement apartment .

An absolute classic from the 70's. I'd swear this was on the short list of dorm room necessities for every college in the United States from 76 to about 79. [That and a Farah Fawcett poster].

Sometimes, late at night I'll pull out my dad's old 4th army scrapbook from the second world war, put on the headphones and play this song. Brings a tear to my eye every time.

Sundown. Should be on the short list of all time great albums!

My wife threw out all my disco clothes years ago [probably for the better LOL] Looking back I can't believe I got sucked in the the dicso thing but did have lots of wild nights at the old "Uncle Sams" night clubs back in my college days.

Loved this song since it's first airplay in late summer 72. I gotta admit though I didn't have a clue what the hell Allan Clarke was singing about until the lyrics were posted on Youtube some 38 years later

Great music from a never to be seen again era. The 60s were a great time to be a kid where the radio was your window to the world, limited only by your imagination.

Takes me back to red line tires, aluminum christmas trees, dodge ball, adjusting the vertical hold on the t.v , space food sticks, ...

I was 5 when this song came out, remember hearing it over the tinny speakers of our 58 Ford pickup. I was certain at the time this song was written about my dad, a WWII vet who was the best shot with a rifle I had ever seen.

Ah the innocence of youth, as a 7th grader I thought this was a song about trains.
