We all live in an age in which technology and media are rapidly redefining our lifestyles. As such technological advancements continue to influence social interaction and consumer expectations, it is important to understand the impact they have on the job market. In the media industry highly skilled artists now have to be more versatile with the equipment they use and the decisions they make pertaining them. Such increase of competitiveness has made it harder for many artists to continue distributing their work.

As an artist, I believe I have the ability to overcome the barriers that are building up in today's media world. It is important to understand that a successful filmmaker requires creativity, flexibility, passion and dedication. My life experiences have given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of people and find my ways of developing those requirements. Film has always been a part of my life. I believe it is the only form of art in which the artist can explore visual, auditory, and narrative elements, and intertwine them in ways that can touch the audience.

As a filmmaker, my ultimate goal has always been to perfect specific aspects of the craft. During my first two years of college experience, I began to find interest in editing. I began to understand the real power of editing and realized that a good editor makes crucial decisions that shape the way films are meant to be perceived. The idea of putting pieces of film together and making meaning out of them simply amazed me. Therefore, I focused my attention exclusively on editing and post-production work as a whole. I believe I have acquired and continue to acquire sufficient skills that enable me to make the right aesthetic choices in order to yield to meaningful artistic work.
