Worldwide, up to 400 million children are today suffering from hunger, while undernutrition is a key contributor in the deaths of more than 5 million children under 5 every year. And yet the causes of child hunger are predictable, preventable and can be addressed through affordable means. International agencies, NGOs, civil society and the private sector are working with affected countries, communities and families in a renewed effort to eliminate child hunger and undernutrition.
