I stopped by a lodge after a hike yesterday to get a bite before driving home. As my mom, wife and i were eating, some guy collapsed. He was severely dehydrated and malnourished. My mom, a RN, was there and the kid ended up taking a trip to the emergency room. I hate to think want would have happened if we weren't there. Just before slipping into shock, he swore up and down he was okay and was just going to go sit in his car. The EMTs stabilized him and took him to the hospital. Crazy Day!
