About this user

I am "Emy the Immigrant" from the Philippines (Filipina), an American & future citizen by choice & not be accident of birth. I am also a student of America and what my husband calls "The Freedom System" for many years before I met him and started my Graduate Course of studies, and then over a year ago when I arrived and married him. I started a blog to share my impressions about America, from the point of view of someone who is new here and perhaps noticing things about this great country that others born here may just take for granted. I am in business and in love, and I sleep with my business partner every day. We are both happy to be using this new idea of the internet to seek out new friends and business associates, who may share our values, whether they are immigrants and new to this country, or reside in York, PA or in northern Virginia where we spend time, or nearby, or anywhere in the USA (isn't the internet just great for making and getting to know new friends?). My blogsite is also a great way to share impressions and information with those back in the Philippines (or any other countries outside America) who may otherwise have got the wrong idea about America if they are relying on less objective information and sources.
