About this user

South African normal guy who loves good music, drums and anything resembling a drum. Cars are also at the top of my list of things that get my heart racing!

I'm an absolute gear junkie! When it comes to new drum and percussion stuff. Even though i can't afford it... i'll play it with pleasure!

A little more about my drumming; After 2 intense years of music, drums and percussion studies under a really phenomenal South African jazz drummer - Denver Furness and a great Percussionist Suzette Brits, I received my Grade 8 in Drums and Percussion through Royal Schools and also Trinity. I know getting this doesn't say much about my playing, but it sure was an experience learning and interacting with these two teachers!

Towards the end of my study period and for 2 years after, I worked for a studio in Cape Town called Bella Records as an in-house drummer - doing session work for bands and occasionally touring with them for shows.

I was also very privileged to teach at music schools in Cape Town - Jam Rock Music School and the Jazz Workshop.

I also keep myself pretty busy as one of the Music Directors at a vibing, relevant Cape Town based church called Urban Edge. We have a HOT band! It's really awesome being able to play alongside some extremely talented and passionate people!
