Frankly speaking Embassies are bombed on almost a weekly bases since I was a kid. There is nothing new to learn from this except that by now they should automatically have sufficient security at all times. The fact that they didn't and had been asking for it for weeks prior to the event and knowledge that an event was to take place they should be punished period. It's not secret we have enemies and no surprise they take out embassies. Nothing they say excuses them not securing them.

There should no longer be impunity for them either everything they do wrong should be punishable by the same courts as everyone else

At the rate the American Government is going with their selfish greed and dirty dealing. America has no allies it won't be long more before you see the truth of this with your own eyes.
