Southport Artisan Cakes

Hi my name is Emma, I am a very novice cake designer, foster mum, stylist come artist and gardener....and general crazy!

By trade I am a Stylist and Spa owner, and now foster carer. But following closing my spa to concentrate on the fostering, (which was a major serious and mind blowing decision), I found myself at a loss with how to maintain my mind status of business woman.
Its hard to leave the attitiude of business owner behind without thinking how can I make a business of everything I enjoy......drives me mad on occasions.
Anyhow....I have a certain abilty to make cakes and puddings......my husband and I have ran restaurants in the past. We call ourselves Mr and Mrs Jack Spratt....he is the savoury king and I am the pudding lady. Complete opposite tastes!
So I am getting distracted.....that happens alot since I took on my 2 foster boys....something else out of my control LOL
so....I have taken up making celebration cakes.

At first it started as I am sure many home businesses have....by making stuff for kids and other friends.
But a BIG turn of events happpened this weekend!
I made my first wedding cake for a paying customer!
I am really proud of my first baby and have learnt alot in its construction, thanks to Edna of http://www.designacake.com/
