Emmanuel JAEGER, né à Paris, a débuté ses études musicales par le violon. Dès l'âge de 13 ans, il se fait remarquer par Yehudi Menuhin qui l'invite à rejoindre son école au sud de Londres. Il poursuit ses études musicales à la prestigieuse Juilliard School de New York d'où il sort diplômé en violon, musique de chambre et direction d'orchestre.
Il se perfectionne en violon avec Zino Francescatti et en direction d'orchestre avec Peter Eötvös et Noam Sheriff avec lequel il travaille pendant 1 an en Israël. Après avoir été violon-solo et soliste de l'Orchestre National de Chambre de Toulouse, il enseigne pendant 6 ans au Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon.
Sa carrière comme chef d'orchestre a pris un nouvel essor ces dernières années. En effet, il s'est produit à plusieurs reprises avec l'Orchestre Lamoureux au Théâtre des Champs-Elysées à Paris, a dirigé les meilleures formations danoises, tchèques, roumaines et russes dont la plus prestigieuse est l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Saint Petersbourg, phalange symphonique que peu de chefs français ont le privilège de conduire et qu'il a été réinvité à diriger cette saison.

Emmanuel JAEGER, born in Paris, started his musical studies with the violin. At the age of 13, he was selected by Yehudi Menuhin to join the Yehudi Menuhin School of Music. He completed his studies at the famous Juilliard School in New York with a degree in violin, chamber music and conducting.
He mastered his violin playing with Zino Francescatti and his conducting with Peter Eötvös and Noam Sheriff with whom he worked with for one year in Israël. He was then chosen as Concertmaster of the Toulouse National Chamber Orchestra and also taught violin for 6 years at the Lyons National Conservatoire.
His career as an orchestra conductor rapidly expanded in the last years. Indeed, he performed on several occasions with the Orchestre Lamoureux at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, conducted the best Danish, Czech, Romanian and Russian orchestras including the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic, an orchestra that he was reinvited to conduct this season.
