I think you have misread "parch", it's a shock for two mana and a flame javelin against blue creatures (alas it's a really good card in limited).

shimmering grotto was clearly the right choice (on the alchemy) and not the crab, grotto would have allowed you to flashback both the alchemy and the grasp, with think twice in hand that is better than a crab.

Both game 1 and 2 I'm pretty sure you should have traded the scourge for the banshee and then for the mauler in game 2 by playing the deranged assistant making him attack and then trade the 4/5 mauler for the 5/5 scourge. It looked like you forgot the fact that if his 5/5 scourge comes in for an ...
