Depends on you man, if you're good with Hammers & know when to aim then go for it.

Remember man, MH takes patience. You can always make other weapons anytime.

I chose to make Great Serpenntblade because most people ended up creating that weapon as well.

That's Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, a Japanese game that many people have created a English patch for, although it may be readable in English, it's still a Japan game & would be pretty difficult to find in stores because of this.

Also, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (which is coming out soon) is Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, and the games are pretty rare actually.

I'm sorry, I don't know what it means by not high enough rank. To the best of my knowledge making armor does not depend on Hunter Rank, it solely depends on the materials required to make the armor.

I do know the armor you are trying to make, battle, has a different set for blademaster than gunner. In order to put the gunner armor on, you have to have a gun equipped. Try that, maybe equipping tank mage before creating the armor will change something. Make sure you have all the materials needed to make the armor in your inventory before you try as well. Hope that helps.

Hunter Rank is for online only, and online was shut down about a year ago.

To make gunner armor go to the smith and select create armor. In the bottom right hand corner of the armor stats is a couple yellow letters which may say 'Blademaster only', 'Gunner only', or nothing at all. The 'gunner only' armor is the set you are looking for. If it has nothing, that means it can be equipped by both gunners and blademasters. Hope this helps.
