Once in a while find myself checking out other versions of this, even by some of "the greats," but I've never found it done better than Liza here. She inhabits the song - as she does with everything she sings - and just clearly has such a great time with it.

Liza recorded a great version of this on her "New Feelin'" album in....1970!

@CenturianRule Substance abuse isn't necessarily the cause of the demise of her voice. She 's a belter, and that takes a toll on the voice. In the 90s (I believe) she had to have surgery on her vocal chords (the same surgery that ruined Julie Andrews' voice. Liza fared better.)
