These days they would be texting each other on their phones which they would turn off when caught by the teacher saying, "Look,, my phone is in my pocket and it aint even on." No evidence of the exchange is left in space. No evidence of the material covered is left in the minds.

Now we just drug our kids instead.

Commercials in the 50's were weird? I don't see anyone with pink hair. I don't see some guy selling insurance by pretending to be various catastrophes. I don't see a man thinking that because his wife is doing laundry, it's a perfect time to drag her off to bed. I'll take the weird.

I wish people did speak to each other. Everyone is in his own little world either lost in thought or rushing somewhere or talking (or more likely texting) on their mobile phones. We need more human interaction.

Great song. :) In the "old days" I would see all sorts of negative comments from the younger crowd who have no use for anyone over 30. These are some of the viewers who have disappeared. Those of us who enjoy your videos are still watching.

You can be attractive without being beautiful. I fail to see how drinking a sugary soft drink will keep you slim but the fact that no one would have even thought of drinking a 32 oz soda or a 3 patty hamburger back then helped keep the calorie count down.

So what we should do is ignore the rude people and deprive them of the attention they crave. One does this with a toddler who is having a temper tantrum and the toddler eventually gets the idea that tantrums produce no reward.

British humor (humour?) is quite different from ours. Still it no more takes a knowledge of the internal combustion engine to drive a car than it takes a knowledge of electricity to use an iron.

Coke had been bottled for a long time by the 50's. It came in 7 oz green bottles on which you paid a deposit which you got back when you returned the bottle.

And what about Bill's table manners? If I had to watch someone shovel food onto the fork with his fingers, I'd lose my appetite.

I've always thought it amazing that after the war, the men went back to telling women that they couldn't do the very things they had been doing for years.

Has war vanished?

Have people stopped hating?

Has poverty diminished?

Did we conquer disease?

Are there no people going hungry?

Are we happier? (think about all the ads for relief of depression.)

Did rich people give all their money away?

Is the world, or even our count...

This stuff's not scary. Where's the triple baconator? Where's the stuffed crust pizza? Where is the double down, the burger between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches, the fried twinkies? The 50's food was healthy compared to some of the things we eat today.
