Boiler was at Wiggins Mead, Colindale London NW9. The Boiler seems to be working fine, but the central heating temperature L.E.D( yellow) behaving badly. In normal operation one would expect the temperature to rise gradually and once the set temperature is reached the burner to go off and the pump to be running until the temperature smoothly decreased to the next burner cycle. This was not the case with this boiler. The temperature shows some unexplained behaviour of sudden temperature changes. Also the boiler pressure increases from 1 bar to nearly 2.5 bar. Now the question is which part is accountable for this? faulty temperature sensor, PCB (printed circuit board), expansion vessel, worn out pump and scaled - overheating heat exchanger are the usual candidates, but which part you start to check and how?. Faulty parts were identified and we inform the tenant with the quote to repair the boiler. So this case is in their Landlord's hand.
