was this before they could use naso-gastric feeding tubes? the ones you typically see today? through the nose and down into the stomach? I had a feeding tube (nasogastric) and IV's as well, but nothing that I needed to be number for... was it just that anesthesia would have killed her?

i think emma really should be diagnosed with anorexia. a bmi of 14.5 and also with her extreme control of her food and FEAR of food and increasing portions, and also her use of very low calorie food (all the time) are all signs of anorexia.

I think they should have them puto n weight a bit slower, i mean obviously get them out of the 'extreme danger zone' at 1st bu tthen focus on 'whole' foods and fruit and veg and whole grains and protein and SOMETIMES fried foods and cakes etc. in real life people don't-or shouldnt eat fried food...

ohhhhhhh that american lady seems sweet. I hope she gets the help she needs and starts walking or something and loses a bit of weight. 36 stone=504 lbs. even losing like 200 she would still be over 300 lbs. so sad
