i saw this film as a child .i am now 50...i remembered this film throughout my life for its wonderful story and wonderful cast...i shall sit down with my grandchildren when they are a little older and watch it with them....i still cry at this scene..jenny agutter is just so believable as roberta....

i wish i was god then i could have created a massive rain storm to put out the fires then i would have put my arms around the buildings to hold them together while everyone got out....the operator must have been so devasted by the time she got home that day..words cannot describe what that lady ...
