It's only fitting that, on his birthday in February, 2011, producer T.L. Brown saw a new single release. Only this time, the Washington, D.C. songwriter and music producer had paired up with El Paso singer and songwriter Ellen M. Wilson. The first new single, Someday, marked the beginning of their new songwriting and recording partnership, with Brown at the helm in the studio as producer.

Brown and Wilson share songwriting credits on Someday while Wilson's band, featuring guitarist Armin Harrison, bassist and cellist David Hamilton, joined Wilson and Brown on the recording, which was made at Clap of Thunder Studios in El Paso, Texas. The team recorded two more singles in March, the wistful ballad, Alone, and the smokin' Shelter Me, which was Ellen's first song co-written with Armin Harrison. There are plans for an EP by Summer 2011.

The new songs herald a new sound for Wilson, one that Brown, had envisioned from the first time he heard Wilson sing. "After I first heard Ellen M. Wilson sing, I went out and listened to everything she had done so I could hear how she embraced various musical styles: Musical Theatre, Pop, Ambient, Classical. I was so inspired to create a new sound for her that would capture her unique vocal and musical style. I introduced several song ideas to her and heard some of her song ideas, but in the end, a brand-new song, Someday, was destined to be our first work together."
