"The Tea Totallers" are Don Greene-Berry and Ella Jay, two musicians who perform old-time music the way it was played a century ago as well as some neo-traditional folk music.
Using banjos, fiddles, guitars, other acoustic instruments, and their own untrained voices, they play homage to musicians like Uncle Dave Macon, Cousin Emmy, Dock Boggs, and string bands such as The Arkansas Corn Dodgers.
Don and Ella engage their audience with the warmth and humor of a down-home porch sittin' and some first-rate story telling.
The music echoes as it did in the late 1800s and early 1900s in the hills of Kentucky and hollers of Missouri.
